"Il mondo è davvero pieno di pericoli, e vi sono molti posti oscuri; ma si trovano ancora delle cose belle, e nonostante che l'amore sia ovunque mescolato al dolore, esso cresce forse più forte"

I'll never fall in love again - Burt Bacharach

What do you get when you fall in love
A girl with a pin to burst your bubble
That's what you get for all your trouble
I'll never fall in love again
I'll never fall in love again

What do you get when you kiss a girl
You get enough germs to catch pneumonia
After you do, she'll never phone ya
I'll never fall in love again
I'll never fall in love again

Don't tell me what it's all about
'cause I've been there and I'm glad I'm not
Out of those chains those chains that bind you
That is why I'm here to remind you

What do you get when you fall in love
You only get lies and pain and sorrow
So far at least until tomorrow
I'll never fall in love a- gain
I'll never fall in love a- gain

Poor man, this must have been written after a sorrowful disappointment in love, i'm quite sure of that. I believe there are quite more to gain than to lose when one falls in love: great emotions that seems to burst your heart; sharing of ones heart with another, some kinda happiness that revives the soul, cherishing and forgiving one another, etc. Honestly, i think it's worth it falling in love, which becomes wonderful when the partner is the right one....and if you have been disappointed, don't ever think that others out there are all the same, there must be someone outa there for you to make you believe once again in the magic of love.
